[Chungnam] Promotion of Korea's first 'Hydrogen Power Plant' in Dangjin...4.5 trillion won investment

For the first time in the country, the 'Hydrogen Power Plant Complex', which generates electricity only with clean hydrogen, will enter Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do.

Chungcheongnam-do signed a business agreement with Dangjin-si and Korea Southeast Power to create a successful eco-friendly energy base.

The power generation complex to be built in the area of Gagok-ri, Dangjin-si, will house a 900MW hydrogen plant, a 300MW battery energy storage device, and a data center, and 4.5 trillion won will be invested by 2032.

South Chungcheong Province Governor Kim Tae-heum said the creation of a clean hydrogen power generation complex will speed up the energy transition and lay the foundation for building a data center complex, a key infrastructure for the digital economy.
