Russian medics "North Korean wounded soldiers scared and nervous"

Some of the North Korean soldiers who were injured while fighting in Kursk, Russia, looked scared and nervous, Russian medical personnel who took care of the wounded soldiers said.

The British daily Guardian reported last week that 24 North Korean soldiers were transferred to a hospital in the Kursk region, where police were deployed and treated in a special ward where only interpreters and medical staff were allowed in.

One of the medical staff said, "I was instructed to prepare for a special type of patient that morning," adding, "I heard rumors that the North Korean military was participating in the battle, but I didn't believe it because no one saw it."

"I thought it was fake news until the North Korean military arrived," he said, explaining that most of the wounded soldiers were wounded by shrapnel.

Six Kursk residents interviewed by the Guardian also said they had not seen any signs of the North Korean military.

Based on this, the Guardian interpreted that Russia appears to be quarantining North Korean soldiers in remote military barracks far from civilian enclaves and strictly controlling their movement.
