'Prevention of Halloween Crowd Accidents' Strengthen Police Mobile Patrol Activities

Two years after the Itaewon disaster, the government sent in a police task force to prevent crowd accidents during Halloween.

Police mobile patrols said they deployed more than 300 people on the streets of Itaewon and Hongdae in Seoul yesterday (26th), the weekend ahead of Halloween.

Police officers secured a passageway in crowded areas around the club and cracked down on illegal personal devices or motorcycles to prevent them from walking down the alley.

A total of 3,000 police personnel will be deployed in Seoul, including Hongdae, Itaewon, Gangnam, and Konkuk University, which are expected to attract crowds this weekend.
