Prosecutors investigating the large-scale settlement of Timon and Wemakeff have summoned representatives of Timmeff, the key suspects, for the second day in a row.
The investigation team of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office has been investigating Timon CEO Ryu Kwang-jin and Wemakeff CEO Ryu Hwa-hyun as suspects accused of embezzlement and fraud since this morning (5th).
This is the third time that the two representatives have been summoned for questioning, and they were said to have been under intense questioning until midnight yesterday.
Together with Koo Young-bae, CEO of Quten Group, they are accused of stealing 1.595 trillion won in illegal sales by deceiving the seller even though they knew they could not pay the settlement.
In addition, he is accused of causing 60.3 billion won in damages to Timon and 8.9 billion won to Wemakeprice by driving his work to affiliates, and siphoning off 67.1 billion won in company money to acquire the U.S. e-commerce company.
Earlier, the prosecution said that when the arrest warrant filed against them was rejected by the court on the 10th of last month, it would carefully review the reasons for the dismissal as a reinforcing investigation and decide whether to request the warrant again.
