It has been reported that a number of Chinese company employees who will participate in CES, the world's largest consumer electronics fair, have been denied visa applications to the U.S.

The U.S. government has yet to make an official statement.

This is Beijing correspondent Kang Jeong-gyu.

'CES 2024', the world's largest consumer electronics fair held in Las Vegas in January,

A large number of Chinese companies have flocked to the COVID-19 pandemic, which slowed their participation.

A total of 1,115 exhibition halls were set up, second only to the host country, the United States (1,201).

There is even a joke that the first letter of CES means difference.

However, you may not be able to see this at CES 2025, which will be held for four days from the 7th of next month.

Reports have emerged that a number of Chinese company employees who received CES invitations have been denied U.S. visa applications.

The Global Times, a Chinese state-run English-language newspaper, said it was unprecedented and accused it of being politically motivated.

Hong Kong media SCMP pointed out that it coincided with Trump's remarks on an additional 10% tariff.

CES, which became embarrassed, also reportedly asked the U.S. government to issue visas quickly.

Of the 4,000 global companies participating in this event, 30% are Chinese.

As the opening is only a month away, if the visa issue is not finally resolved, China is expected to remain a keyword on a different level in "CES 2025".
