Foreign media reported that Israeli forces have launched airstrikes against pro-Iranian Yemeni Houthi rebels in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa.

According to AFP, Houthi rebels said Sanaa International Airport, Aldaylami Air Base and the port city of Hodeida west of Sanaa were attacked.

Israel's military says it has bombed Sana's airports, power generation facilities and military infrastructure on the west coast with fighter jets, with approval from the prime minister and defense minister.

"The Houthi terrorist regime smuggled Iranian weapons through the facility and sent high-ranking Iranian officials into the country," he said. "It is another example of using civilian facilities for military purposes."

Since the start of the war between Hamas and Israel in October last year, the Houthis have attacked ships passing through the Red Sea in the name of supporting Hamas and have also exchanged airstrikes with Israeli forces.

On the 21st, the U.S. military launched a retaliatory airstrike on the Houthi military facility after the Houthis fired a missile into Tel Aviv, Israel, injuring 16 residents.
