PyeongChang Cultural Olympiad kicks off

The PyeongChang Cultural Olympiad kicked off on February 3rd.

The Cultural Olympiad was launched under the joint auspices of the Gangwon Province and the central government to celebrate the PyeongChang Winter Games set to start on February 9th.

A total of 450 cultural events will be staged across the Gangwon Province, including Pyeongchang and Gangneung, the host city and a sub-host city of the Olympiad, respectively.

The events aim to boost the spirit of the Winter Olympics and promote the essence of Korean culture to the world.

The Cultural Olympiad will continue until March 18th when the PyeongChang Paralympics is closed.
