Floor leader Kwon Sung-dong, who presided over the general meeting of lawmakers, briefly met with reporters outside the conference room at around 2 p.m. during the general meeting.

If it's late, he said he would discuss it by 3:50 p.m. and then go through the process of gathering party lines.

However, he said it is unlikely that the party will change.

The ruling party's existing party line on the impeachment bill is the opposite, that is, a 'no vote'.

About 30 people reportedly spoke in the general meeting of lawmakers, and it was found that the opposition to the impeachment bill mainly persuaded the pros.

Participants in the general meeting told YTN that the impeachment bill, which defined Rep. Choo Kyung-ho, the former floor leader, as an accomplice in a "insurrection," was a sham and a scheme to destroy the party.

In the first round of voting on the 7th, the ruling party also chose to "not attend" the vote to prevent possible departure votes, but this time, it is expected to enter the polling place.

This is because even within the party, there were voices saying, "It was not to the extent," and the atmosphere within the party changed due to the president's statement, and it is a considerable burden to face the backlash of public opinion again due to the absence of the vote.

As it is an anonymous vote, some observers say that there will be more lawmakers who will vote for their conviction once they enter the polling place.

It requires the consent of more than 200 out of 300 members of the National Assembly.

The pan-night district has 192 seats, and 108 lawmakers belong to the ruling party, the People's Power.

When all opposition parties vote in favor, it is passed if more than eight people agree in the power of the people.

In the first round of voting last week, the impeachment bill was discarded because the quorum itself was not established due to the absence of the ruling party, but if the impeachment bill crosses the threshold of the National Assembly today, President Yoon's duties will be suspended immediately.

The Democratic Party's leadership continued to press and appeal to the ruling party, expecting a significant number of votes to be passed.

What was the content of the second impeachment motion proposed by the opposition party?

As in the first round, the second impeachment bill stipulated "emergency martial law in violation of the Constitution and laws" as the reason for impeachment.

However, things that are not directly related to martial law, such as Kim Gun-hee's stock price manipulation and allegations of manipulation of public opinion in the presidential election, were excluded.

The additional reasons for impeachment include the situation in which martial law forces occupied the National Election Commission or attempted to arrest lawmakers.

There were also allegations that he tried to make room for politicians and journalists in the Seoul Eastern Detention Center.

Analysts say that the focus was on martial law, reflecting the confidence that impeachment will be possible with just martial law.
