[Soccer] S.Korea draws 1-1 with Iraq in Olympic qualifiers

South Korea drew 1-1 against Iraq in the Olympic men's football qualifying tournament staged in the Qatari capital of Doha yesterday (Tuesday).

The South Korean footballers kept their slim lead well on forward Kim Hyun's first-half header, until Iraq's Amjed Hussein scored the equalizer in the latter half's injury time of the final Group C match at the Asian Football Confederation U-23 Championship.

The championship doubles as the Asian qualifiers for the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The top three nations in the event will advance to the Olympics.

As the Group C winner, South Korea will face the runner-up from Group D in the quarterfinals set for Saturday at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha.
