Yoon case sent to federal prosecutors in U.S.

U.S. police have sent the case of a South Korean ex-presidential spokesman, accused of sexual abuse, to federal prosecutors for determination.

The police said their investigation into Yoon Chang-jung, who allegedly molested a Korean-American intern while in Washington D.C., was wrapped up on Wednesday.

Yoon was immediately fired from his role as spokesman to President Park Geun-hye, while part of her first maiden visit to the United States in May.

Prosecutors will determine whether to issue an arrest warrant for Yoon, who would be extradited to the U.S. if a felony charge is issued.
