Bipartisan rows growing over high-profile corruption scandal

Bipartisan rows over the opposition party's demand for the impeachment of scandal-ridden Prime Minister Lee One-Koo are flaring up, with President Park Geun-Hye on her South American trip.

The main opposition New Politics Alliance for Democracy (NPAD) says that it would decide on when to submit a motion on Lee's impeachment to the National Assembly by tomorrow (Tuesday). The NPAD has warned of the motion unless Lee resigns.

However, Lee, under siege for allegedly taking bribes from a late business tycoon in 2013 when he ran for a parliamentary seat, has denied bribery allegations and rejected to step down.

Ruling Saenuri Party Chairman Kim Moo-Sung suggested on Sunday that the opposition camp delay its decision on the fate of Lee by a week until President Park's return from her 4-nation official visit to South America.
