Commemorative medal for EXO to be produced

An official commemorative medal for the all-boy music band EXO will be produced by South Korea's national mint.

The Korea Mint Corporation has announced that it will introduce an official EXO commemorative medal in April, which is dedicated to the top-class K-pop idol group that also stands in the center of Hallyu, or the Korean Wave.

The faces of all the nine band members will be featured on the front on the obverse of the medal, while the reverse will feature EXO's logo.

EXO, which made its debut in 2012 and performed at the closing ceremony of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics last month, will be the first K-pop group to have a commemorative medal made by the state-run mint corp.
